Southern Alleghenies EMS Council continues its “Third Tuesday” education series on March 15th with a look at the latest technology in pacemaker devices and wearable cardiac defibrillators. We’ll also look at a challenge of determining the cause of a syncopal episode. Dr. Alexis Davis will review symptoms and the related causes of a syncopal episode. Among the key points: a detailed history is a must as well as a comprehensive cardiovascular and neurological exam.At Southern Alleghenies EMS Council we encourage everyone to "Never Stop Learning!"

One of the hardest parts of becoming an EMT is absorbing the large amount of information that you have to learn to pass your certification exam. One problem for students is that many have never been taught how to learn. Southern Alleghenies EMS has a two-hour class that teaches students how to master the critical skill of learning how to learn.
